Hello CT tribe! I'm new to this website, and I still consider myself a newbie to tri's even though I'm on my fourth year. I am a slow, fat triathlete who is also a grandmother. :) I do tri's for fun and health and to give me incentive to keep moving, but would really like to meet other women to train with. I live in East Hadam, CT and train around Moodus Resevoir. I am running the Iron Horse 10K in Simsbury June 5th, then the SheRox Spring Tri 8-19 in Devens, MA and the Women's Tri in Farmington, CT on Sept 9th. I look forward to meeting this tribe here and hopefully training with some of you this summer. Alice.

Started training for TRI this month and I'm loving it.
I actually live in West New York, NJ but since my parents live in Manchester, CT I'm ALWAYS in the CT area.

Hey Dawn, Sorry I didn't get back to this board prior to the race in Glastonbury. The next 5k I am doing is in July, Red Dress Run for women..weekends now are quite busy.Between work and school during the week and training for a tri. in September I do 10 k runs with a group from Fleetfeet in W. Hartford on Saturdays and a running group at various Ct. locations on Sundays ( I conduct an informal group as an adjunct to my education program to become a NASM and ACE certified fitness trainer) I am super swamped! Hi Gals, Just to let you new to Ct. gals know that the Hartford Marathon Foundation has lots of well attended races and duathlons,triathlons going on year round. The next 5k I'm doing is May 2nd in Glastonbury.There's a party afterwards with a Mexican theme ( in honor of Cinco De Mayo, I believe).After that I'm running in July for the Red Dress Run for Women.
