Another name is Coach Outlet Store, the largest domestic retailer of gourmet cupcakes. As a result, many different retailers offering the consumer affordable air yeezy shoes have fared well since the end of the recession and are projecting nike air yeezy to be among the best years in recent memory. Ken Schapiro, President of Gucci Shoes Management, has identified a broad range of consumer-oriented companies that are poised to Gucci Men's Shoes. Coming out of the recent recession, yeezy shoes have become more selective than ever by focusing on certain factors when deciding where to spend their money. This surge is expected to not only be led by goods companies like Coach Handbags Factory and Steve Madden, but by dining companies like Coach Purses Mexican Grill and Gucci Outlet as well!

Hey ladies!

I'm going to be visiting the Springfield, MA area in a few weeks (East Longmeadow to be exact) and am looking for safe places to cycle and open water swim.  Of course I'm smack in the middle of training while we're on vacation!  Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Erin

Hi Erin,

I did some searching and found a cycling club in East Longmeadow:

http://compedgecycling.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html

Looks like they also have women's specific rides...

The main bike shop for the area is Competitive Edge Bikes:

http://compedgeskibike.com/

Hope that helps.

Heather

Just read about this from the BTT newsletter..Sounds like a good program!

Winter Strength Training for Endurance Athletes at Boston University begins January 17th!

Popular endurance activities such as running, swimming, cycling, ultra events and adventure racing all require a combination of speed, strength and stamina.  Strength training prepares the body for the rigors of training and racing.  It combats factors that contribute to overuse injuries, encourages bone health and counteracts muscular imbalances.  Strength training can boost lactate tolerance, delay fatigue and improve running economy.

Program Overview
This is an 8-week program designed to enhance aspects of aerobic and anaerobic endurance.   Participants will see improvements in flexibility, balance, core strength and stability, and strength endurance.

Practical Approach
Participants will gain confidence using free weights and ground based multi joint movements, and will learn how to develop a program to meet real world logistical responsibilities and concerns.

All plans are designed and led by dual certified USA Triathlon and Strength and Conditioning Coaches.

The 8-week program begins January 17.

Classes:
MON 7-8pm

Location:
Boston University
300 Babcock St., 3rd Fl.
Boston, MA 02215

Cost:
$180

Awesome!  Are you doing it?  I think I might sign up.  It would be really easy if I left my bike and trainer there, but is it weird of me to think it'd be sad to be apart from my Trek for so long?  I mean, even if it *is* collecting a little bit of dust right now :P

Heather Axworthy's picture

Hey!!  Hope you had a great Thanksgiving.

Not sure if I'm doing it yet.  I signed up for remote coaching with a group from San Diego, he's got quite a bit of cycling in my plan already.

I got on the trainer Tuesday for the first time in...since last winter probably...trainer was dusty to say the least...cobwebs and all from the garage.

Swim stroke analysis

I recently did a swim stroke video analysis with QT2 systems, and it was definitely a great investment to learn what I was doing right(a little) and wrong (a lot). After the taping, you sit down with the other group members and each individual is looked at from all sides and angles! What's great is you see that other triathletes, some who have been to Kona, have the same technique issues that you do!

I highly recommend it and put it on your holiday wish list!

Here is a link to the event if anyone is interested.  I'm going to go and check it out.

Happy Thursday!

I'm kind of in a Triathlon state of mind this week...posting a lot (I know..)

Just wanted to let you know I heard from the President of the BTT (Boston Triathlon Team), and she reiterated the group is very open to all people.  They are gearing up to have several workouts such as Sunday group runs in Boston and socials that are open to everyone!!  They will update the online calendar as soon as more info becomes available.  As soon as I find out, I'll post the info to the tribe!

Their website is here:  http://www.bostontriathlonteam.com

They also have a Yahoo group called BTTpublic@yahoogroups.com that anyone can join!

I'm going to try to spread the GOTRIbal word to them!!

Heather Axworthy's picture

Hello everyone!!

Thank you to the folks who replied to my last post about swim coaches.  I'm going to take the plunge (pun intended) and signed up for swim stroke video analysis this weekend at MIT.

On another note, I was reading the website of the BTT (Boston Triathlon Team.)  I wanted to know if there are any GOTRIbal members who are part of that team or worked out with them?  Curious to know your thoughts.  You can send me a direct message privately, if you prefer.

I was initially put off by their "application and vetting" process in order to be on the team.  Sounds very weird to me....

On another note, the new markups for the GOTRIbal race kits are up on the site.  Go to Resources --> GOTRIbal goodies, scroll to the bottom for the pdf.

Heather,

I just moved to the south coast and am a swim coach.  Am only an hour give or take a few from boston area.... if you had a group or wanted to meet privately, and had pool arrangements, I would be happy to make the trip to assist you in your swim.

Meg :-)

Hello everyone!  Hope you all are enjoying the off-season...

I am seeking guidance on a good swimming coach in the Boston/Cambridge area.  I want to improve my speed and performance through the winter and really need someone to work with me, one-on-one.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Hi from Dover MA. Anyone training for Timberman this August?

GOTRIbal Chief's picture

Hey Melissa! I won't be there this year, but I know of a group of other GOTRIbal women planning on racing....
one in particular, Chrissie Wellington.
Look for her at the finish, and if you receive your finisher medal from her directly, be sure to say "GOTRIbal baby"!  - she will most certainly give you a bit of a knowing smile and a nice hello!
Have a great race and look forward to hearing your race report (with photos!)
Onward and upward,
Tanya
Chief TRIbal Officer

I know some of you have listened to it already, but if you haven't, hear Tanya talk about her vision for GoTRIbal. I'm ashamed to say I *finally* figured out how to get podcasts on my iPhone so just heard it, and thought her interview on Triathlete Coffee Shop was great! Hear what it's all about and get inspired here: http://www.triathletescoffeeshop.com/?p=171 Hope everyone's doing well! -Mina

Hi, Ladies! Nice to see some of the group finally migrating this way. There are still some site kinks to work out (as expected!), but in the meantime, it's about time to christen the new spot, and what a better way than to start our 2009 recap?! Check out the first discussion up top! ^^^^
