Bike Trainer?
Submitted by Linda Lee on Wed, 09/08/2010 - 6:18pm
Hello,
A few of us are looking for a decent bike trainer--not a coach, but the actual equipment to prop your bike up. And, if you know what the actual piece of equipment is called--let me know!
Any suggested brands? Thank you!

Hi Linda!
It is most definitely called a "trainer" - but if you happen to be living in the UK (or close to people from there) you'll hear the term "Turbo".
Cyclops is one of the top brands of choice. And there is a myriad types. Fluid (in my opinion) are the best. There are also magnetic and wind trainers.
This link provides a good summary of all three, plus the pros/cons.

Hi Linda,
I have the CycleOps Mag+ and really like it. It has gotten me through these cold North Dakota winters!

Since a fluid was a little out of my price range.
