Wahine Warrior - Women's Only Mountain Bike Event
Wahine Warrior
Saturday, September 25 2010
07:30 AM - McDowell Mountain Scottsdale Arizona
Event Description
Mountain biking is pretty intimidating. There’s undulating surfaces, obstacles and unfriendly flora. This mountain bike experience is just for women. The NON-COMPETITIVE format will be similar to a typical cross country mountain bike event, Cat 1, Cat 2 and Cat 3 women will compete as they would normally but without the overanxious testosterone driven male either blocking the path or passing too closely. We are working with sponsors and vendors to bring out women specific bikes for you to demo and a skills clinic will be held in conjunction with the event prior to the Cat 3 race.
We encourage you to come out and take advantage of the opportunity to learn about and help grow the sport of mountain biking for women.
