As a fitness-loving couple, when my husband and I go to the gym together we consider it a date. On Sunday, to set us off on the New Year, we did our own indoor triathlon together. First 30 minutes on the stationary bike (level 9, I lobbied for level 7 and lost), 20 minutes on the treadmill (with an incline of 2, which I thought was excessive and he accused me of cheating when I adjusted my watch before setting the incline), then 10 minutes in the pool (which was harder than it sounds). It was one of the best hours I've spent at the gym in a long time, and quality time with my hubby to boot.
"Let's do this again next week," I said as we walked to the car. A free, heart-pounding activity with my husband... there's only one other way to get that kind of package deal.
