Glorious glorious weather on Saturday morning! It was warm for a change at 5.30am - so no need to rug up! Quick coffee (black) and it was off to a fun ride with Miff.
So the plan was to ride the river loop (approx 35 -42km i think) and then have some brekky before the skills course. Somehow we got carried away and turned into a morning FULL of riding...
1. Ride river loop
2. Quick (dodgy!) brekky
3. Ride back to get change of clothes and directions to cycle track
4. Brief discussion of directions (so brief i don't remember any of it...)
5. Ride to cycle track
6. Do 2 1/2 hours worth of cycle skils (think laps and laps and laps...)
By the end of the morn we were so so hungry! Still the mission was to stay on dietitian's orders so I waited till I got back to have Rx'd meal..aaahhh rice and corn crackers and fish and salad plus some lite jelly and fruit. Yum!
good quality carbs is so so important when training -i'm feeling the difference - more energy despite the hours around training and other commitments.
