The Power of Nature

The power of Nature…

One of the best and worst things in life when things come to an end and new ones begin. This we call change…Changes can either be hard or easy, but most of the time no matter how our life changes it requires extra energies from us to focus on our new goals. The possibilities to discover something new while remembering all the hard lessons we learnt from our previous experiences is one of the privileges and greatest challenges of the human mankind.

There comes a point I think in every woman’s/triathlete’s life when we have to evaluate the pros and cons of certain situations to decide if we need the “change” or not. Let it be a race when your back is aching on the bike so you must decide if you want to stop for a moment or ride “through” the pain…Or just to decide if training or family or social life is more important at a certain period. Or to decide if you want to stay in a relationship or not…

These past weeks had been rather hard for me. I am someone very natural and simple and I am not at all used to complicated things however as my friends say: I like complicating thingsJWell, in the past few months I complicated them quite enough. Meeting your best friend and your soul mate in a guy is not always easy. It kind of puts a pressure on you…but mostly if your common sense is saying that even if he is the right guy he shouldn’t be the guy…Uhh, girls we are way too complicated I think…J

Anyway my past week was about making a decision and wondering about how wonderful the human nature is. It is wonderful how our entire body and mind are coded for survival no matter if it is during a triathlon or in our personal lives. Training and working hard is not only about having the physical endurance but also about preparing our minds for situations when we need to make hard decisions that seem to be terrible for a while but then when we look back we are just proud of ourselves because we know we did the right thing and we are wearing the “crown” with a big smile.

My message for this week is that even if sometimes decisions are hard to make, try listening to the sound of the nature, listen to your inner voices and BELIEVE in yourselves! Believe that everything in the World is possible if you have faith in yourselves!

Happy Weekend for all of YOU!
